Waterford Township EMS Powers Emergency Services with New Solar Installation from Plankton Energy
Plankton Energy has partnered with Waterford Township EMS to install a 28.49-kilowatt rooftop solar system at its emergency care facility in Atco, New Jersey, marking a new chapter in the organization’s commitment to both public service and environmental sustainability.
The newly completed solar array, consisting of 56 high-efficiency modules, is expected to generate approximately 36,000 kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually—significantly offsetting the facility’s energy consumption. Over the system’s lifetime, Waterford Township EMS is projected to save more than $150,000 in electricity costs while reducing carbon emissions by over 28.4 metric tons.
