Plankton Energy
Plankton Energy partnered with a facility managed by Extra Space Storage to install a 449-kilowatt rooftop solar system in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. Comprising 1,196 modules, the system produces approximately 540,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually—offsetting the facility’s entire electricity usage.
Over the lifetime of the system, the facility is projected to save more than $1.4 million in electricity costs and avoid over 4,260 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions. The project was supported by New Jersey’s Successor Solar Incentive (SuSI) Program, which provides financial incentives aimed at accelerating the deployment of clean energy across the state. Through such programs, developers like Plankton Energy are able to deliver long-term environmental and economic value to commercial property owners.
