New York solar energy developer Plankton Energy energized a 641-kilowatt rooftop solar system for New Jersey-based ShopRite on their Elmsford location.
Plankton Energy, a New York-based solar energy developer, has energized a 641-kilowatt rooftop solar system at the ShopRite location in Elmsford, New York. The solar system will utilize over 1,280 modules and provide over 775,300 kWh of electricity to the ShopRite of Elmsford annually. Over the life of the solar system, ShopRite will save over $1.8MM in electricity costs and will reduce carbon emissions by over 6,100 metric tons.
The project was supported by New York’s NY-Sun Megawatt Block Program, which provides financial incentives aimed at accelerating the deployment of clean energy across the state. Through such programs, developers like Plankton Energy are able to deliver long-term environmental and economic value to commercial property owners.
