Taurus Investment Holdings and Plankton Energy Power Up 2MW Multi-Site Solar Portfolio in Newton, MA
Plankton Energy has partnered with global real estate investment firm Taurus Investment Holdings, LLC to complete a portfolio of rooftop and parking lot canopy solar installations across three commercial properties in Newton, Massachusetts. Together, the systems total more than 2 megawatts of clean, renewable energy capacity.
Structured through a combination of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and Solar Site Leases, the project provides Taurus properties with both long-term reductions in electricity costs and a new source of recurring revenue. In addition to these financial benefits, the systems will deliver significant carbon emissions reductions, advancing Taurus’s broader sustainability commitments.
The initiative was made possible in part by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ SMART (Solar Massachusetts Renewable Target) Program, which offers financial incentives to accelerate the deployment of solar energy across the state.
