Plankton Energy Powers BLVD 63 in San Diego with 484.9-kW Rooftop Solar System
Plankton Energy has completed the installation of a 484.9-kilowatt rooftop solar system at BLVD 63, a residential community in San Diego, California. The new system is now supplying clean, on-site renewable energy to offset a substantial portion of the complex’s common area electricity usage.
With the system fully operational, BLVD 63 is projected to save more than $4 million in electricity costs over the lifetime of the system. In addition to these long-term financial benefits, the project will eliminate over 5,900 metric tons of carbon emissions—the equivalent of avoiding the consumption of more than 663,000 gallons of gasoline.
This solar installation marks another milestone in Plankton Energy’s mission to deliver environmental and economic value to large-scale real estate portfolios. The project was developed in collaboration with Core Spaces, a real estate firm focused on creating vibrant, sustainable living environments.
