Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for Solar Cost Savings
Under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), Plankton Energy designs, installs, owns, and maintains a solar energy system located on the host property. In exchange, the building purchases electricity generated by the system at a rate significantly lower than prevailing utility prices.
A key advantage of the PPA structure is that it requires no upfront capital investment. Plankton delivers a fully managed, turnkey solution. From the moment the system becomes operational, the property begins to benefit from reduced electricity costs. Plankton assumes responsibility for insuring, operating, and maintaining the system—ensuring the only cost to the host is for the energy consumed.
